Should I wash my hair before a colour?
While a bit of natural oil on the scalp can help create a protective barrier from the hair colour, excessively greasy hair can slow down the colour’s process.
Renee’s rule of thumb: If you are going darker, have clean hair; yet highlights love a little natural oil.
